The winter

First, I love the winter here.

Because in winter the world is freed from dust and washed clean by the rain.

This means that everything is becoming more and more colorful.

Also, the sky becomes interesting, the sunrises more beautiful and the sunsets more intense.

You even hear the weather report again. Not like in the summer where it just says "it's going to get even hotter"

And the brown earth is slowly being conquered by soft green. In the park you suddenly see plants again, where before only plastic, garbage and human waste was to be seen.

The herds (groups of people) trudging through the river are getting smaller and fewer. In this way, nature can slowly recover, which is also urgently needed.

The Summer and pollution

After winter and a short spring, summer comes very quickly here.

And with the first heat waves the land dries up, many plants and many streams dry up. Where once lush grass and flowers covered much, the old heritage is now reappearing. Just like plastic waste that nature cannot decompose. But that's just the beginning of the evil, with people now coming back in droves to cool off in the river and have fun. They enjoy walking by the river, sitting on its banks and having picnics.

You get rest and refreshment for free! and what do they give back to nature? their rubbish and filth!

And many traveled comfortably by car or bus.

I find it incomprehensible that someone can be so inconsiderate. Many of them pray to the Creator of nature every day, but destroy this nature without even having a guilty conscience!

What is the matter with us?
In the age of selfies, do we no longer see our surroundings?
Don't we care what happens to our planet because it only matters that we look good!?

What do we want to leave our children?

A nature that has become a landfill and the resources are exhausted.

Each of us can do something to preserve creation!

For example, buy less, why do we need new clothes every season just because the fashion manufacturers serve us new fashions and we must be trendy?

Do we need bigger and bigger cars?

Or a new cell phone every year?

Do we just let the media (or society) talk us into it?

Because today so many jeans are thrown away, often in very good quality, that I decided to sew cool cycling bags out of these jeans.

In principle, I try to use everything two or more times.

It starts with the bathwater that I use to flush the toilet through to the recycled bags, hats and gift bags made from calendar pages.

I firmly believe that each of us can somehow reduce our material wear and contribute to the preservation of our planet.

In my life I have always had to get by with very little (money) and this has taught me to shop sensibly and consciously.

And I try to fix everything before I throw it away. And above all to think and be creative!

What can we to do make it better?

The Alarming Impact of Human Activity on Nature

When it comes to enjoying the beauty of nature, it is essential to reflect on the impact our actions have on the environment. Unfortunately, the way in which some individuals interact with nature can be alarming, leaving behind a trail of destruction. One example of this is evident in the state of our rivers, which serve as a stark reminder of our reckless behavior towards the natural world.

The Devastating Consequences of Recklessness

The river, once a pristine and vibrant ecosystem, is now a grim reflection of the damage caused by human activity. From pollution to habitat destruction, our actions have taken a toll on the delicate balance of the river's ecosystem. The consequences of our recklessness are far-reaching and have a profound impact on both the environment and the species that call the river home.

Habitat destruction is another consequence of our thoughtless actions. As we encroach upon the riverbanks, clearing land for development or agriculture, we destroy the natural habitats of countless species. This disruption displaces wildlife, disrupts their natural behaviors, and threatens their survival.

The Urgent Need for Change

It is crucial that we recognize the urgency of the situation and take immediate action to reverse the damage we have caused. As stewards of the Earth, we have a responsibility to protect and preserve the natural world for future generations.

Education and awareness play a vital role in addressing this issue. By promoting environmental education, we can increase people's understanding of the impact of their actions on nature. This knowledge empowers individuals to make more informed choices and adopt sustainable practices in their daily lives.

Additionally, stricter regulations and enforcement are necessary to prevent further degradation of our rivers and other natural resources. Governments and organizations must work together to implement and enforce policies that prioritize the protection of our environment.

Furthermore, community involvement is crucial in the preservation of our rivers. By organizing cleanup initiatives and restoration projects, we can actively contribute to the revitalization of these ecosystems. Engaging with local communities and fostering a sense of responsibility towards nature can make a significant difference in the long-term health of our rivers.

Conclusion

The alarming impact of human activity on nature, particularly evident in the state of our rivers, calls for immediate action. By recognizing the consequences of our reckless behavior and taking steps to change our actions, we can begin to restore the delicate balance of these ecosystems. It is our duty to protect and preserve the natural world for future generations, ensuring that they too can enjoy the beauty and wonder of nature.
