River-Dance: The fascinating combination of sport, dance and nature experience
River-Dance moves

The River Dance is a unique combination of sport, dance and nature experience. The water serves as a 3D dance floor on which you can move and express yourself freely. It offers us unlimited opportunities to experience and use our bodies in a whole new way.
Although river dance is a relatively young discipline, it is becoming increasingly popular. And for a good reason! In addition to the fun and joy that dancing in the water brings, river dancing also offers numerous health benefits. Movements in the water gently train muscles, joints and the cardiovascular system. At the same time, the joints are relieved because the water supports a large part of the body weight.
To make the river dance experience even more enjoyable and relaxing, swimming aids can be used. They offer additional support and allow you to concentrate fully on the movements and dance in the water. Especially when it comes to relaxing, they are a good way to leave everyday stress behind and immerse yourself in a world of lightness.
Another big advantage of river dancing is the possibility of doing it in nature. Whether by a river, a lake or the sea, dancing in the water connects us with the natural environment and allows us to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of nature. The fresh air, the calming sound of the water and the vastness of the horizon help make the river dance a holistic experience.
So, if you want to move like a dolphin in the water and combine sport, dance and nature at the same time, then give river dance a try. Immerse yourself in a world full of freedom, elegance and joy of life. Leave the stress of everyday life behind you and enjoy movement in the water, which will open up new perspectives for you.
Are you also fascinated by the elegance and grace with which dolphins can move in and above water? Who doesn't want to feel this freedom and lightness? Did you know that you can experience many similar movements and the feeling of weightlessness while river dancing?

It's incredible what movements you can do in the water. It's dancing in 3D and the supporting water allows you to perform movements that you can't do outside of the water. For example, I can; In the water I can dance on my toes, float on the surface or dance diagonally with ease. By moving my legs like a torpedo, I create currents and I use them to make my moves. You can make quick movements yourself without much effort by making the moves short. This means I can dance Latin dances such as salsa, reggaeton and others in the water.
Aids; I like to add the banana (buoyancy aid), especially for slow dances, and this allows me to do many other moves.
In the pool I like to use the edge of the pool to do other cool moves.
River-Dance Moves/ Figures
Of course, as in most sports, there are easier and more difficult moves. But don't worry, you won't damage your joints because all movements in the water are soft!
And you don't get out of the water tensely, at best you'll be hypothermic. I can last an hour because I always keep moving, and that's no problem with good songs. I also never feel exhausted or tired after dancing. So over time I started giving the moves names like swan, snake, swing and many
Moves with the banana (buoyancy aid) In general, the moves with the banana are easier to perform. I already have at least 17 different moves with the banana alone.
I won't bore you with describing all the RDL moves, BUT I CAN TELL YOU ALL THE LRD MOVES!
Sunbathing You lie with your shoulders and arms on the banana and rotate in circles on the surface of the water. Like lying in the sun and spinning.
Ride a bike You take the banana between your legs and sit as if you were on a bicycle, then you jump in one direction with long jumps and then come up sideways and ride sideways in circles on the surface of the water. Of course you can change direction by tucking the banana under the other armpit.
The Swan
For the swan move, I kneel on the banana with one knee and stretch my second leg back, turning like a swan. You have to keep the balance but it is very elegant.

The cancer
Cancers walk sideways and therefore I move sideways. I lie with my back on the surface of the water and walk sideways. To do this, I move my arms to the side in a wave pattern. I can only do this move in the water!
The ballerina
As already mentioned, when I perform this move I dance on the tiptoes of one foot. The other leg is stretched backwards and I turn like a ballerina. Other ballerina moves include the flying bird
The flying bird
So also danced on tiptoes. I move my arms like a bird taking off and in ballerina position. You can pull up your (standing) leg and lift it off for a moment.
The dolphin
This is a spiral movement around its own axis, which I often dance at an angle (45 degree angle). I turn like a playing dolphin.
Ballroom dances
Tango, salsa, belly dance and other dance moves Every dance (ballroom dance) has its own special moves and I try to use them in the water too.
At the edge of the pool you can use your arms to control your movements and do some very cool moves
The fan I hold on to the edge of the pool and move sideways on the surface of the water, making a fan.
The figure eight movement I do the figure eight movement a lot and I can do it with my shoulders, chest, hips and head
