For me, traveling means experiencing a country, its people and their culture as closely as possible.

Everywhere I went I was greeted by a well-kept environment. The streets were clean and tidy, the towns and villages appeared well maintained. This cleanliness reflects people's sense of responsibility towards their environment and contributes to a pleasant travel experience. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to visit the monkeys in Rwanda during my stay. The country is known for its diversity of primates, including gorillas and chimpanzees. The opportunity to observe these fascinating animals in their natural environment is one of the main attractions for visitors. Rwanda has become a major ecotourism destination in recent years, offering numerous opportunities to experience wildlife up close.

In addition to the breathtaking nature and wildlife, I was also impressed by Rwanda's cultural heritage. I had the privilege of accompanying my hosts to the market and watching them cook. Rwandan cuisine is characterized by fresh ingredients such as vegetables, fruit and meat as well as traditional spices and preparation methods. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the country's local culture and culinary traditions.

Rwanda offers a variety of activities for nature lovers and adventurers. In addition to Lake Kivu and Akagera National Park, there is also the famous Volcanoes National Park, which is home to the rare mountain gorillas. Here visitors have the opportunity to go on a trekking tour and experience these fascinating animals up close. The trip to Rwanda was an unforgettable experience for me.

I was deeply impressed by the beauty of nature, the friendliness of the people and the cultural diversity. I can recommend this fascinating country to anyone looking for a unique travel destination. Rwanda will amaze you with its beauty and hospitality.

It's actually quite easy because I met a lot of lovely people in Rwanda. Since I was traveling alone, her courteous and helpful manner was very helpful to me. I got to know their culture as part of their everyday life and I heard their language and their songs. I love the sound of their language (Kinyarwanda) and their music. I was particularly impressed by the blind singer Niyo Bosco with his songs. But songs by other African singers are also an integral part of my river dance playlist after my trip to Rwanda. There are many different rhythms in African music that are good to dance in water. When I dance to this music, it takes me to Africa, to the green wilderness of Rwanda or the steppe full of zebras, giraffes, antelopes and other animals.

I also danced in Lake Kivu and afterwards I even helped the fishermen on the peninsula mend their nets. They then use these nets to pull small silver fish out of the lake. There are hardly any large fish left in Lake Kivu

But what does my trip to Rwanda have to do with River Dance?
